By Amanda McMillan

The Mason Rodeo Association cordially invites you to join us for our 56th Annual Round-Up & Rodeo!

To kick off this weekend long celebration, Dennis & Karen Townsend, with the support of Mason Bank and The Commercial Bank, will be sponsoring the Mason County Team Roping on Thursday, July 8th.  For more information, please contact Dennis @ 325-456-8635. Cavo’s Cabana will be on the grounds with great food! (There may be more sponsors.  I will find out. )

The Rodeo slack competition will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning at the park arena.  Mason Rodeo Association Committee members will be serving fresh made breakfast tacos and coffee!

On Friday AND Saturday evenings, please join the Mason Rodeo Association for the Cadillac Rodeo Company production beginning at 7:00 p.m. @ the Ft. Mason Park Rodeo Arena. Entry to the rodeo has changed.  Please park your vehicle and entry gates will be available on the North and South sides of the arena.  Renowned Rodeo Clown, Leon Coffee, will provide the entertainment during the performance. The Mason County Round Up Queen’s contestants and the 2020 Round Up Queen’s Court will be presented both nights first thing in the Rodeo.  The 2021 Queen and her Court will be crowned on Saturday evening!   The Mason Rodeo Association will provide concessions on Friday night and The Mason Lion’s Club will, once again, provide the concessions on Saturday night.

Kids 12 and under are invited to participate in the always fun to watch Calf Scramble both nights.  Bikes and Prizes will be awarded both nights by Weber’s.   Want to ride a mutton at the rodeo? If you are 8 and under, come enter before the rodeo!  RDI and Lehmberg Livestock will provide bikes to the winners in each section both nights.  Angie Daughtery, with Mason County Farm Bureau and Morgan Willis, with Lehmberg Realty, will provide buckles for the longest ride each night.

Beginning @ 9:00 p.m., there will be a dance at the Ft. Mason Park Dance Slab featuring Tommy Hooker. Once again, Cavo’s Cabana will be on the grounds beginning at 9:00 and through out the dance.

As always, a portion of the Round Up weekend proceeds will benefit the Mason Rodeo Association Scholarships for graduating seniors of Mason High School.

Discounted pre-sale tickets for the rodeo and dance will be available at the Mason Bank beginning June 21st!

Let’s make our 56th Annual Round-Up Celebration the best ever! We hope to see you all there!
