Mason Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that local artist, Bud Menchaca, is bringing new life to our “Welcome to Mason” signs!
Born and raised in Mason, Class of ’97 at Mason High School, Bud went off to study Commercial Art & Advertising at Texas State Technical College in Waco. After moving back to Mason about 8 years ago, Bud started work at the Comanche Creek Golf Course in Mason City Park. Driving by our “Welcome to Mason” sign each day, Bud told his wife Nicole, “One day I’m going to paint this sign the way I want for my town.” Years later, Bud says he is finally living his dream, getting to paint the sign that he envisioned for beautiful Mason. You may recognize much of Bud’s work around town, like the Mason Winegrower’s painted sign, the awesome new signs for Lea Lou Co-op, and his newest project The Buzz on the Square.
The Mason Chamber of Commerce is proud to partner with Menchaca Art in the launch of the new “Welcome to Mason” signs and hope to highlight the beauty of Mason while welcoming our visitors.
