Blue Mountain Peak Ranch, as the highest point of land in Mason County, offers spectacular views, hiking roads(that are perfect for horses w/some limestone rocks) and trails that lead all over the 830 acre ranch. The roads/trails lead down to the spring outflows, some flow ~1/2 mile, with small waterfalls, pools and the wildlife that they bring. Many birds from humming birds(thick @ the feeders) to many other types of song birds, including the Black-Capped Vireo, because we have trapped and dispatched cowbirds for ten years. Wild turkeys, dove and quail are also residents here as well as all other native species of mammals, lizards, snakes, including unusual ones like Horny Toads. The roads/trails are fun for mountain bikers as well.
Hunting includes trophy buck, dove, quail, Whitetail and hogs. Horses are welcome.
On site modern accommodations are available w/two units w/King sized beds & full kitchens.
Overnight camping, in fully enclosed RV’s, is available as is tenting or just sleeping under the clear, starry skies. The East and West horizons are fully visible for astronomers and star gazers.
The main house has a fully functional Solar System that provides all of its electricity as a demonstration of that technology.
All guests are given a tour and explanation of the Eco-Restoration project that has returned the ranch to what it looked like in the early 1800’s.
